Puerta 43 is a curatorial studio, working at the point where functional objects meet artistic expression. We commission, present, and write about objects made by contemporary artists and artisans.
These works emerge from dialogue between the everyday and the singular, the useful and the beautiful.
Around each piece, we write. We give them context, voice, and resonance. Objects hold a sense of stillness. We try to listen, through conversations, and the forms the selection take.

Puerta 43 takes its name from a real door, in a Minorcan house, where the project first took shape. We kept it because a door is exactly what we wanted this place to be. A passage, an opening, a way of getting closer to beauty, and to the intimacy that lives in objects.
